Project Home for the Holidays

Hi everyone! My name is Christian Kahahawai, im 25 years old and live in Honolulu, Hawaii. I created this blog in an effort to try and get home to suprise my family for Christmas in San Diego. I currently work two jobs as a window washer and construction laborer and somehow only have enough money to pay bills, most of the time. I couldn’t afford to visit my mom and my brother last year for Christmas and it was pretty depressing. I would really love to suprise my mom by just showing up on Christmas Eve, she would lose it. However, my dilemma is that I have zero ($0) dollars to spend on a plane ticket. And with Christmas presents and bills coming up, I cant afford to put aside any cash to try and get home...

After exhausting every idea, I couldn’t find any way (besides hooking in Waikiki) to produce somewhere between $700-$1000 for a plane ticket on Christmas Eve all by myself. I need help! So I’m asking anyone and everyone on the internet to help me out by donating anything, just 50 cents, or a $1 would help me get there. I’m not here to make money, im not trying to con anyone out of their money. I just want to be with my family for Christmas and I cant afford it on my own. All I need is to raise enough for a roundtrip plane ticket from Honolulu to San Diego. I’ve got an old paypal account setup, but even if you just dropped a quarter in the mailbox at my house I would be incredibly grateful! To everyone reading this, thank you very much for any support! Donation goal as of Nov. 24th 2009

I've just checked Hawaiian Airlines for flights and it looks like my target donation goal is currently $863 for a round trip ticket from Honolulu to San Diego leaving Dec. 24th (Christmas Eve) and returning on Sunday Dec. 27th in time to go back to work on monday. I don't have a clue what is going to happen to the pricing, but I can imagine its going to keep going up the closer we get to Christmas.

New ticket price! Much cheaper!!

We've got a much cheaper ticket now! Instead of flying Hawaiian, I'm shooting for an American Airlines ticket thats only $559.00!

So, our new goal is $559.00. So far with all of your help we've managed to raise $260.32! We're 46% there!
